Around 90 earthquakes detected in the Bárðarbunga area in the last 24 hours 1865

Bárðarbunga volcano rumbles on. Around 90 earthquakes were detected in the area in the last 24 hours. According to the Icelandic Met Office (IMO) the strongest earthquakes struck at 01.18 last night,  M4.7, and a M4.5 at 12.38 yesterday noon. Both were on the northern rim of the 10 kilometer (6.2 mki.) wide caldera.

The eruption in Holuhraun is ceaseles. Due to weather the eruption has not been visible on webcams in the last a few days. IMO reports that the same activity is detected on infrasound arrays and scientists on site in the central highlands have not reported any changes.
