Around 200 earthquakes detected at Bárðarbunga caldera since Friday 1865

Since noon Friday around 200 earthquakes have been detected in Bárðarbunga caldera. The largest was M4,5 and struck on Friday.

UPDATE A magnitude 5.2 eartquake struck at Bárðarbunga at 12.52 (12.52pm) today (Monday).

According to The Scientific Advisory Board of the Icelandic Civil Protection seismic activity in the area continues to be strong with 12 earthquakes larger then M4,0 hitting at Bárðarbunga sinc Friday noon.

The eruption in Holuhraun is still going strong.
