Another 12-hour pilots strike at Icelandair, 21 flights cancelled 489

Icelandair has cancelled 21 flights today, May 11, due to the strike actions of the Union of Iceland Pilots.

The strike started at 6AM and will last until 6PM.

Icelandair announced yesterday that they made the cancellations in order to give customers the opportunity to make the necessary arrangments. Around 3000 passengers were booked in those flights.

This was the second twelve-hour work stoppage by pilots at Icelandair. The first was last Friday. Further four are scheduled if the wage dispute is not solved.
