An amazing photographic two month journey around Iceland 5613

12. sep 2016 13:20

This fall Simeon Patarozliev, a Sofia based photographer made his dream of travelling to Iceland come true, spending two months travelling around the country, taking photographs.

What makes the project fascinating are not just the amazing pictures Simeon captured, but also how he chose to travel: He covered 9,700 km (6,000 miles) in total, but spent only 7 EUR each day, on average. By hitchhiking, camping and cooking his own food, Simeon managed to spend virtually nothing on his adventure: The result, according to the website of the project, was 15 rolls of negatives and countless positive memories. We would like to add that the website itself is also a fabulous result, as a guide, or inspiration to others, it shows what amazing adventures Iceland has to offer.

His ÍÐEA was simple: 1) Get by with as little as possible and travel as low budget as he managed, 2) Share – which we at Iceland Insider agree with! We love stories, photographs, tips and videos from readers and travellers! If you have a great video to share, useful tips to other travellers or photo collections, northern lights shots etc: Please don't hesitate to send them to us!

In the meantime: Head over to Simeon's website to see more of his photos!
