American fashion designer Calvin Klein was among guests who attended DesignMarch’s opening ceremony at the presidential residence Bessastaðir yesterday evening.
The designer will stake the stage this evening during Desgin Talks, a day of lectures held by internationally acclaimed designers as well as local ones and moderated by Stephan Sigrist of Think Tank W.I.R.E.
Klein launched his company in 1968. In addition to clothing, the designer has also given his name to a range of perfumes, watches and jewellery.
DesignMarch is an annual design festival held in Reykjavík and features over hundred exhibitions, workshops and other events over the period of four days. Its aim is to showcase local design and build relations between local and international designers and companies.
