The American airline Delta will continue seasonal flights between New York and Keflavík International Airport this summer, reports Viðskiptablaðið. However, the carrier has decided to extend the season by a month and will commence flights in May or one month earlier than in previous years. Delta will fly directly between Iceland and New York until the end of September.

“Guests visiting Iceland from the United States increased by 30 percent last year, compared to 2013. We are proud to take part in this growth as well as being able to offer Icelanders an alternative when it comes to travelling to the US,” said Perry Cantarutti, CEO of Delta in Europe, Middle-East and Africa.
