Australian actor Alan Fletcher, best known for his role as Dr Karl Kennedy in the wildly popular television series Neighbours, is a fan of Icelandic musician Ásgeir, reports news website Nútíminn.

“I distinctly remember the day when my local radio station ran a profile on Icelandic musician Ásgeir. His haunting and melodic ballads had me hooked immediately. His song King and Cross is a particular favourite,” the actor told Nútíminn.

Alan is set to perform with his band Johnny Lucas and the X-Rays, at Spot in January and is extremely excited for his trip to Iceland.

“The second I mention to anyone that I am heading for Iceland in January they invariably say they are desperate to go too or that they have been and it is their favourite destination. I am fascinated that this island country has such an amazing reputation as a place not to be missed.”

Alan and the X-Rays will take the stage at Spot on January 9th.
