A passenger bus blown off the road in South Iceland. Weather continues to deteriorate 1791

A strong gale, reaching more than 25 m/s in some areas, is currently battering most parts of the country, with heavy snow in the northern and eastern regions.

A bus carrying 22 passengers was blown of the road just outside Selfoss, South Iceland, this afternoon, reports news webiste Vísir.is. No one was injured in the accident.
A lorry also slid off the Hellisheiði road, South Iceland, today.

The Icelandic Met Office and the Iceland Road and Coastal Administration issued a weather warning today and warn against travelling in the North today – this applies especially to vehicles unprepared for winter driving!
