A parliamentarian and a city councilman performing with their legendary rock band Ham 2014

Ham is one of Iceland's best rock bands of all time. The band was founded in 1988 and is still going strong although not performing as frequently as before. Hence each concert is to be savored.

Two members of Ham have carved out careers in a different show business than music. Frontman and singer Óttar Proppé is a member of Iceland's parliament, Alþingi, representing the party Bright Future (Björt framtíð), and bass player S. Björn Blöndal is a Reykjavík City councilman, leading the same party in City Hall.

Last spring Óttarr became the first-ever acting member of parliament to perform in the Eurovision Song Contest.

At this year's Iceland Airwaves Ham performed live in the great Kex Hostel in Reykjavík and, luckily for us, Seattle radio station KEXP-FM was there. The videos below were recorded on November 7th.
