A number of mountain roads are currently impassable due to snowdrift and limited visibility, reports the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration. Many parts of Ring Road 1 are extremely slick and motorists are advised to drive with caution.

Travel conditions in Westfjords and east Iceland are poor due to snowdrift and ice on major roads.

Impassable roads:
Fróðárheiði in Snæfellsnes peninsula.
Gemlufallsheiði, Þröskuldar, Klettsháls and Kleifaheiði in Westfjords
