An Icelandic men's choir on its way to a weekend training camp rescued a Taiwanese couple that had gotten their car stuck in snow afer skidding off the road in South Iceland. The couple was unharmed but their car had to be towed back up on the road. In an interview with local news site mbl.is Björn Sighvatsson, a member of the choir, said that the woman was dressed in a wedding gown and the couple had explained to the that they were on a pre-wedding trip.
Björn and his mates in the choir, called Esja, got the happy couple back on track and of course performed a song during the rescue. You can watch and listen below.
Additionally we have embedded Esja's great version of the classic and often-sung Icelandic hymn Heyr himna smiður (Hear, Smith of heavens).
