A man is in custody after a young woman was found dead in her home in Akureyri. The woman, who has been described as a young mother, was found dead in her home early Sunday morning. Police has not made the cause of death public, but the man is believed to have been at the scene when she died. The Police has been unable to interrogate the man due to his impairement from substance use.
According to the sources of the local newspaper DV the woman had two young children. Police has only confirmed that the woman lived in an apartment building in Akureyri. The sources of DV say other residents of the building are in shock.
