Cruise ships have increasingly, year by year, been including Iceland as one of their stops. Last year alone, 66 ships came to port in Akureyri, carrying nearly eighty thousand passengers. According to a report by ruv.is, a higher number of visitors via cruise ships is expected, as Disney Cruises has announced it’ll be including Iceland in an ‘11-night North Norwegian Fjords and Iceland Cruise’.
Disney Cruises are especially designed for families and the ships include waterparks, movie theatres, and firework shows. Each cruise is specially themed, and it’s only fitting that the cruise visiting Iceland will be in the theme of Disney’s ‘Frozen’ which premiered last year.
