It's not only the Icelandic men that are strong! A 64-year-old Icelandic woman came third in her age group at the IPF Classic Powerlifting World Championships in Killeen, Texas. Dagmar Agnarsdóttir, a powerlifter and artist, also set a number of Icelandic records during the competition.
This was Dagmar‘s first World championship. She competed in the age category Masters 3 (60-65) and lifted 82.5 kg in squats, 42.5 kg in benchpress, and 115 kg in deadlifts.
“It’s great fun and I train with such a fantastic group of women,” Dagmar told the National Broadcasting Service.
