According to information from the Icelandic Met Office, around 70 earthquakes have occurred on the Bárðarbunga caldera rim in the last 24 hours. The strongest of which were a magnitude 4.8 and 4.6 at 01:36. Seven earthquakes exceeded magnitude 4 while fifteen were in the magnitude range 3 – 3.9.
The Bárðarbunga caldera continues to subside of the caldera at a steady rate. Around 30 events have been detected in the northern part of the dyke intrusion, between northern Dyngjujökull glacier and the eruption site in Holuhraun.
