400 million krónur to be spent to better facilities near popular tourist spots 68

Vatnajökull National Park has been aloted a 40 million krónur (258.548 euros) grant from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to construct walking paths around Dettifoss waterfall, Northeast Iceland.  This is part of a 400 million krónur (2.585.482 euros) project intended to better facilities near popular tourist spots.

A 260 metre (853 ft) long panoramic viewing point will also be constructed near Dettifoss and pathways to Landmannalaugar central highlands improved.
