170 million ISK to transform Hlemmur bus station into food hall 2522

Reykjavík City Council has agreed to spend 170 million ISK (1,194,827 Euros/1,316,910 USD) to convert Hlemmur bus station into an artisan food hall.

According to the National Broadcasting Service, RÚV, the space will feature a small number of restaurants and speciality shops. The food hall is expected to attract local and international visitors wishing to experience Icelandic cuisine.

Hlemmur bus station was built 38 years ago and is one of Reykjavík’s two main bus terminals.
